Every shot in this OVA is brilliantly composed and well-thought out. Plot reminded me of Malice@Doll a bit with its themes of human existentialism and the purpose of living as a machine. Armitage is my wife now
Finished NieR: Automata. Enthralled by how much I loved it. Automata’s dissection of existentialism through the dichotomous relationship highlighted in finding/assigning meaning to the seemingly meaningless is very fascinating and a beautiful metaphor as to why games are ART
Adventure Time was never afraid to treat it's audience like adults with it's dark topics despite being aimed at kids.
It starts out light to get you invested with it's world, and slowly hits you with themes of war, existentialist ideas such as life after death, and abandonment
This was an interesting take: combining the OG military man Captain Atom with Dr Manhattan style existentialism. A military man, not versed in physics/chemistry, suddenly with more power than Superman? The story was more about Ethics than heroics, but still had plenty action 3/6
