Trying out a different approach, underpainting in a Dioxazine Purple fluid acrylic, watered right down, to block out the darker values. Then my usual watercolour over the top.

Take two on 's elder boar Druid-King Viridian

Got a conflicting ref sheet for the first version so used it as an underpainting for this one; so he's at his proper age (mid-60's), proper colors, but same great taste~

'Twas a good year. Learned a lot about colors and how to control them better, learned to incorporate more of my underpaintings into the final.

Still a lot to work on, but definitely a step in the right direction. Thank you to all the people who comm'd me

the underpainting for my antigone x chris drawing. the funny thing is that while a lot of people tried to crit tig’s tiddies no one noticed that chris’ hands were two different sizes (i fixed it already don’t worry)
