In 1388 James 2nd Earl of Douglas was stabbed in the back by his own armour bearer Bickerton. Bickerton in turn was killed between the Friary & Luffness Castle by Ramsay of Waughton (before he could be questioned). Ramsay then disappeared. Archie The Grim masterminded the murder.
