One thing of the note is that artwork for the series was done by Hitoshi Ariga the Pokemon artist and character designs were by Ayano Koshiro (Yuzo Koshiro sister) who also did the designs for SoR.

Zambot 3 is full of fantastic Yuzo Aoki drawings. The animation is admittedly a bit janky (as most rushed, uncorrected animation is) but a clear upside is that we get to see his art in all its glory, uninhibited by any sakkan.
