Not a fan of the original, but this strips away all of the aesthetics that made the OVA so appealing in the first place. Absolute nonsensical story structure, which has no idea how to deliver a scene or line interestingly.
I figured out what I dislike about Pokemon’s tone.
Half the aesthetic and dialogue is written like it's meant for adult viewers while half of it is written like a show for 6 year olds.
These aesthetics are at absolute war and undermine each other constantly. [1/10]
