1. House | I really enjoyed this. I’ve never seen a horror film quite executed in such a whimsical, fast-paced and fun-filled way. I had to get used to it at first but once the film found its footing I was hooked. I’ll remember this. 70/100

With this I was pretty inspired by the mangaka Panpanya whose work I wholeheartedly recommend. Her manga captures an extremely enjoyable and well executed tone of exploring surreal/unfamiliar/uncanny/absurdist locations and scenarios with a great visual style.

But she eventually got caught, and was executed for it, Lae being forced to watch it happen. Lae was very very young and barely has any other memories of her mother. Her adoptive father eventually came across the village she was in, and "rescued" her from that shitshow. (2/5)

Happy Mother’s Day. The allegory of motherhood commitment was executed well. Sometimes it got really funny, you don’t feel too hard for the characters so it’s casual viewing. The rotoscoping was greatly employed. Works best if you are a mom yourself
