Fun fact: Hikari doesnt need to rely on her glasses to actually see. She can see fine without them, but her vision without them obviously downgrades a bit

Stuff like reading things clearly and quick from afar, or noticing more details on something shes looking at gets less easy

They were definitely a bad kind of stereotype back in the day but honestly everything that made them stereotypical is still mostly there, now they’re just less interesting and with more boring character designs. It’s the ultimate downgrade imo.
