here's an example. This is a before and after of my latest drawing after I used a shine tool to make the lanterns seem lit up. You can see in the first pic the lanterns are very dull until I added the shine to it. Not my best but its a good example

Human Lanterns(1982) I am surprised at how dark this fantastic mix of wuxia and horror was. A killer hatches an intricate revenge plot, enjoys himself by capturing his nemesis’ love interests - torturing, raping and removing their skin to make pretty lanterns. Beautiful and mad!
