Not a 1:1 comparison, but I do find it fascinating with how Tomino and Anno imitated and sometimes straight up used imageries of past incarnations to represent previous "cycles" in the grand finales to their respective franchises (although Tomino did return to Gundam later).

One of my style influences is Tetsuya Nomura so I can imitate the style but I haven't done in a hot minute. I have some old art when I was doing it a lot though! This was like in.. 2013-15. Def my peak! I do KH somewhat well too but I suck at the sketch style.
