Drawing 101:

Don't compare yourself to others.

That's the easiest way to get depressed and stressed.

Just learn from their techniques. How are they applying the basics?

Keep moving forward with your own tastes and aesthetics. It's not a race.

Hi Nekro! I'm SARES, a 3D artist from Argentina. I use ancient aesthetics to bring messages into the present that changes the future.

I guess in a way, Bishoujou aesthetics in STG was always there, just the vibe of the aesthetics differed due to the collective art styles of the era.

It's kinda wild how the Donpachi series represents the transition from STG focusing on traditional planes and tanks to more bishoujo focused aesthetics and marketing.

We went from no robot girls, to robot girl co-pilots, to giant robo schoolgirl bosses, to a full cast of moe

In all honesty, I think there should be MORE Pokémon with urban inspirations. Grafaiai’s design incorporating hoodie aesthetics into its fur coat along with its face bearing a slight resemblance to a breathing mask and goggles, it just all around looks like a punk teenager.

I am normally not the biggest fan of people DMing me with "you will like this site", but man, fuckin' nailed it - this is extremely my bag, and they've clearly decided to go whole hog on ANSI, PETSCII and the aesthetics of skulls and shadow and it's working.

My favorite part of Oniisama e is that the aesthetics are so elegant and beautiful and yet the story and characters are absolutely unhinged in a way I've never seen in a slice-of-life. It's the perfect combination.

The aesthetics are so fresh yet timeless, I've never felt this way about pixel art. The artist's ethos is reinvigorating and it's exactly what the space needs rn 🔥 Locked and loaded, strapped in and ready to fly! 💯 🚀

Collecting can look different depending on your motivations.

And obviously, this shit is complex and hard to generalize but there are trends. The two most common that I've seen are:

1. Money people (values monetary worth)

2. Art people (values aesthetics)
