Yep, from the beautifully airbrushed montage battles on the back(app), to the tech specs, to the higher amount of points for more expensive purchases, the metallic looking logo, the futuristic grid backdrop. So many 80’s lines of toys were subject to some excellent visual design.

SF2ww unused stage elements

Some large foreground chains for Ken's stage. Interestingly, the original sketch for Ken's stage as seen in a SFII artbook included these chains.
They're actually present in the stage in the final game, albeit layered behind all the other backdrops.

Just something I want to clarify since I get this a lot. The "City-Scape" backdrop I use is 100% original and stylized off of Streets Of Rage's opening. Its not a rip its just inspired.

I do the same with inks and flats [dont together] and then shading & backdrop renders.

Sometimes I switch it up and do full panels at once if it is an enviro heavy page!

This can make a wild affect on in-progress pages.
