That's what I don't like about sevral modern cartoons, they make all characters soft. I guess that's just personal preference, that I like the older cartoons that had a lot of hard edges, but I think a healthy balance of both, depending on character would be ideal.

Was watching one of my favorite Mickey Mouse cartoons, "Lonesome Ghosts", and one thing that really impresses me is how the animators were able to make the ghosts see-through. Not sure if it's some special kind of ink or a kind of lighting technique, but it's impressive for 1937.

Is it weird to say I love the chase dynamic in cartoons, but I hate when there silent? Stuff like Tom and Jerry and the Roadrunner are good but sometimes the lack of words throws me off, compared to the Ant and the Aardvark and Sylvester cartoons, to me those make me laugh more.
