Dryads are a type of fairy or tree spirit found in all old Celtic countries in Europe

The Celtic "Druids" are said to have gotten their names from the Dryads. Thought to be female fairies and live in the highest boughs of the 13 Celtic sacred trees

It's hard to choose because I've improved so much this past year but definitely my "Harvest In Shire" piece! I'm really happy with how the background turned out as well as the design of the lyre. I did a lot of research on early Celtic/Nordic culture for it and learned a lot!

Cat-sith from Celtic mythology is said to resemble a large black cat fairy-like creature or spectral cat which haunts the Scottish Highlands. A common legend suggests that the cat-sìth was not a fairy but a witch that could transform into a cat nine times.

If anyone is wondering what a Phooka is, they're a fae that exists in Celtic folklore. Phooka is a word that can be spelled in a few different ways: Pooka, Phouka or Púca. The spelling and similar design I used were based on a beloved book series called The Spiderwick Cronicles.

This is found in Celtic Mythology. Scáthach (The Shadow or Shadowy One) was a Scottish warrior queen & martial arts teacher. She was formidable magician with the gift of prophecy & became the Celtic goddess of the dead, transporting those killed in battle to Tír na nÓg.

I got a Vikingr (yes, that is the correct noun) art book for Christmas this year. Decided to blend it with Celtic flair to make a dragon in profile! They have a crystal! :D

Merry Christmas, my dearest Celtic Watersister Jackie❤️

Your beautiful words sooth my heart as a balm to the swords of this year. You’ve done it again and again, each time reaching a different spot—a little further in.

Restoration bit by bit.

Love You
