Happy 16th anniversary to DQ8! I'm not the most hardcore DQ fan, but 8 holds a very special place in my heart as one of my favorite JRPGs of all time.

It also introduced one of my favorite protagonist designs (that Smash thankfully used) and my lady Jessica.

Tomomi Kobayashi's work for the SaGa series is nothing short of breathtaking.

She turned SaGa into a prestige series with a style that was specifically made to appeal more to women rather than the usual shonen style.

You won't find many JRPGs with a style as inspired as SaGa.

I made a bunch of Smash-esque recolors for Adust & Roperot. And since Adust is suppose to look like a cliche JRPG protagonist, I made their recolors together look like characters from other JRPGs (with one exception.) How many can you recognize?

More female protagonists in any games are a welcome addition; I wish there was more of her, as JRPGs are so saturated with male protags. Some series are trying to break from that but it’s still so few
