I haven’t been confident enough to redraw these guys in a while. I really enjoyed seeing my style grow into the 70s/60s style I’ve dreamed of. I was afraid that it would bash heads against the edgy themes of the series. But it gives it a look that enforces the surrealism.

🎨 Chilean Carmen Salas (1940)

Studied Fine Arts at the University of Chile, and afterward at the University of California, in Davis.
She returned home after seven years in USA, and worked as professor of drawing and painting in the University of Chile.

Magical realism.

💫Thanks for the thread. I do traditional realism. Im writing a sci-fi novel about my OCs. My protag can control black holes🌀 and travels back in time⌚She wants to get back to prevent her best friend's murder. My work has been influenced by Alex Ross. I also fanart sometimes.💫

Agnès Lefèvre (https://t.co/VG0FL3LME6) is a French-Vietnamese artist based in Paris, focusing on contemporary photorealism. "Les clémentines" is an excellent Still Life artwork. Love it.

Steve Smulka has gained international recognition for his novel approach toward contemporary realism. His signature motif, meticulous paintings of oversized bottles, jars, and decanters, are particularly stunning. 'True Blue' oil on canvas, 86 x 107 cm. 🥛

I don't usually go for realism in my art, it's usually just my version of something or someone.

In this case I went for 100% realism.

So hardy I couldn't fit him on the fucking sheet of paper.

“At Tea” a Japanese inspired work in progress. Acrylic on Board. Trying to keep true to color while still straying from the path of realism.

A huge number of the emotional and memorable scenes are stylized by their animation and are impossible within the realm of realism. Aslan was always a reserved character, the Jungle Book was a book adaptation with some Disney callback, not a direct remake. TLK is cartoony.

It's ! I'm an artist/hobbyist delving into semi-realism. I started practicing digital art 1.5 years ago and have loved the journey so far :)
