Jean-Claude Mézières has gone to the stars. One of the giants of Europan cartooning and a childhood hero and my introduktion to what science fiction could do with the comicbook medium. So happy his work existed when I grew up, work that brought me so many brilliant memories ❤️

Jean-Claude Mézières RIP one of the giants of Europan cartooning. His work on Valerian, from mid-sixties until around the mid-eighties is amongst the greatest, grounded SF comics ever made. Farewell, Imaginaut.
