I think this is like the only actual one I have with my cel shading style. I use this technique as small emphasis on everything but not full like this anymore. I use a very light purple and set the layer to multiply above my color layers and that’s it. Maybe I do it wrong too? 😅

I accidentally sent the charm designs and didn’t notice that I left the second layer as multiply. Dimitri could have potentially become the infamous double eyepatch meme because of it. Thank god they emailed me the layout 😅😅

i inflate the fills so there's just a TINY bit of overlap of the shadow on top of the lines. once it's set to multiply, the overlap disappears. sometimes when you delete vectors, flash does this thing where it slightly shifts the remaining lines, so this is a workaround for it

This piece of my fursona is 9 years old.
It's actually a massive milestone piece as I'd never shaded that way before. I was directed to a tutorial for how to use multiply and overlay layers effectively and never looked back. I love how significant this is for me.
