Also, the comic wasn’t released until 1979 (after Cobra), and the movie in 1982. The characters first appeared in a series of novels, so it feels less likely Terasawa was aware of it before Cobra.

The entirety of live action Cowboy Bebop was incredible.

The perriot le fou episode was everything i ever wanted.

The show went its own way on a lot of things, and thats ok, take it or leave it, and im just happy it finally exists, great job give us season 2!!

In the Japanese subs for the live-action Cowboy Bebop, Spike's iconic catchphrase of "Whatever happens, happens" was translated as "It's already done now" (過ぎたことだ), which works in context but misses a key call-back. The JP DUB *does* use なるようになるさ, as the anime did.
