Doodling concepts for types of shot/background combinations I want to use sprites for instead of pulling out the CGs every time I want to do something a bit more complex. I like moving sprites around a screen even if it'll take more work on my end.

Fun Fact: Like many other games and media Marco And The Galaxy Dragon also had unused CGs and an unused cutscene sequence

The cutscene showed Marco, Arco and Yuuko in some sword fight, with Arco being a referee. Parts of this cutscene were seen/used in trailer.
