Thinking about Half Life 2 2001 beta content again during spooky season hits a little different. I'm satisfied with the final product, but if Valve stuck with the tone and ideas from the original version I don't doubt that we would have gotten something much scarier.

when slowpoke is given a toxic stone, it evolves into oridian slowking, which is now a water/dark pokémon. burrvalve’s poison didn’t react well with slowking’s system, it instead gives slowking evil and intrusive thoughts. now it seeks to conquer and destroy.
