Ignore the battle shounen fans and non yuri fans going mad in the replies but if you are not watching Magical Revolution yet I highly suggest you do. It has amazing pacing for an LN adaptation, really well written characters, plot and beautiful animation. It will only get better.

The biggest example of this issue is Pebble. At the time the script was written, Pebble was still Vi's super goofy and wacky persona and not the more reclusive and cynical cat you see today. So the Pebble in the short still reflects this, even keeping his early design.
