I finished this just in time, my best piece to date. It shows every aspect I have practiced and improved: painting sky, shading, proper use of layers and a decent degree of ref anatomy. Next year I want to study more anatomy/landscape for a better grasp and also watercolors!😊

2017: I knew nothing about construction or anatomy. I was referencing badly and stiffly. knew nothing about lighting or color theory either.

I feel like I drive some gay people crazy, as any who only like male anatomy tend to see cloacae and genital slits as too much like female anatomy. I like them as they leave the character's gender ambiguous and neutral looking, while still being 100% male.
