Beyond the accolades, the game really is fascinating to play now, especially if you're familiar with many JRPGs. It's a prequel for one, but doesnt tell you that. It hints at it until the end. It's also incredibly open, mainly down to how it treats party members and classes.

I really appreciate it when JRPGS dont just show you all the party members on the front of the box or on the title screen

I love getting caught off guard by that one person you just never expect to be in the gang but they ends up actually being the final piece to the squad
