The renown #Botanist Asa Gray was born #OnThisDay in 1810. Gray exchanged a great deal of botanical knowledge and specimens with @kewgardens during his career, including this beautiful Egyptian grass basket which he donated to the #EconomicBotany Museum in 1869. #otd
