just, i love when artists have a rougher style whether its the lining, rendering, texture... thats why these two are also some of my favorites in feh like how the cloth is shaded!! esp the bottom of xane’s pants & the purple of julia’s dress. they dont give a fuck they’re free!!

A fave Feke, Edward Shippen IV (1729-1806) of Philadelphia, who sat for Robert Feke in 1750 at the age of 21. One of the artist’s best, great suit (the dog-ear cuffs on the coat are 🔥, the pink lining is also a nice touch), even greater swagger.
