Not all but some Rainbow Crystal hosts had notable preternatural gifts: Joe was telekinetic, Ryō was precognitive, Yumemi might have been retrocognitive, and Rei's grandfather was a powerful Shinto priest.

Yokaitober Day 11: Tengu

Whether it's a crow or a red man with a long nose, the tengu has always been an important figure in Shinto mythology. Of course, me not liking tengu is a joke (because I don't like Aya)

Shinto shrines tend to have torii gates leading up to the shrine itself. Though some of the Shinto shrines have the main torii gates standing in water, like this one in Hatokne shrine, which stands in Lake Ashi.

Yokaitober Day 9: Komainu

A~Un~ Komainu is one of the guardian dogs of a shinto shrine. It is the 'un' dog, with its mouth closed and a horn on its head. The other one, the 'a' dog is named Shishi.
