Nintendo could do better than illumination. Most of their movies are lackluster & they care more about big actors than a good story. HORTON HEARS A WHO was significantly better than THE LORAX because illumination fucked up the moral from "Do your part to help" to "Blame that guy"

I get Sonic was a good movie but Sega was familiar with Sonic. Illumination butchered the grinch by mellowing him out to as PhantomStrider said “a guy who missed his coffee”. Nintendo could do better than Illumination. Some big name actors are in it sure.

They put little effort into what they’re supposed to like good writing and non annoying characters. If Dreamworks was in charge of the Super Mario Bros movie I’d have more hope because their track record of good movies over bad ones is stronger than illumination
