Mucking with emulators to get Silent Hill to take the best screenshots. The low-res look (pic on the left) is really essential to capturing the look of it, its grittiness is wiped clean when running at higher resolutions (pic on the right)

Inspired to see how well I could get a heavily textured brush to behave and blend at high resolutions by . Still laggy but pretty tolerable considering that's a 300px brush drawn while zoomed out.

Got ahold of the player model from HM:AWL and found out the face and mouth were treated as separate pieces of geometry to make the expressions 😮😮 texture resolutions were no bigger than 128x256 pixels. it’s cool to see how far we’ve come!!

Where you can clearly see a huge difference in upscaling quality is Both and Suikogaiden had the same file formats and resolutions, making them really too small for traditional resizing. Nash is too handsome to be low-res anyway.
