The main issue that I think tho is that the anime cut a lot of Emilia and Subaru's cutest interactions together in arcs 2 and 3. The light novels that the anime are adapted from, show them having more cute interactions together. Like these for example

Just finished the Shibuya arc and boy oh boy... I can surely say that this was one of the best arcs in new gen shonen manga, amazing arc, loved every single thing about it, this is the type of arc some series need! 9/10 imo
