How could I pass up this one?? She was so cute, I needed to give it a try! And honestly I'm really happy with the outcome! I'm still getting used to scanning my drawings and so the copics turn out a little different in the scan sometimes but I'm still really happy with this!! 1/

This was my first ever picture done with copics. I saved and saved and saved and bought a big set of them a year or so after I graduated animation college. This character was for a story I was working on. More on that later

I liked Soul Eater a lot too. I did this before I had copics. Completely done with crayola-esque water based markers 🤯 I worked on cardstock so I had a half second to smear the ink with my finger before it absorbed into the paper

My tones look super different but I don’t feel super experienced with copics yet, at least not enough to try lighting changes
I had tons of fun with with nonetheless, it’s a lovely character 💜

copics, definitely. i’ve worked with alcohol based markers for years, and i still don’t understand how people create stuff like this (art by made with copics + watercolor, but it’s a good example) using copics. i don’t know what i’m doing wrong. LOL
