This book is a masterclass in how to write a superbly crafted picture book biography. The POV, the story arc, the back matter, the illustrations - I am in awe!

At first the manga doesn’t specify the length of time time between the Cell Games and Buu arc, but eventually it’s pegged as seven years. The anime says this right from the start at the end of DBZ ep.199 (but the opening narration for ep.200 is as vague as the manga)

Vegeta’s line here literally means to treat someone tenderly, but in battle manga and the like is often sarcastically used to mean the exact opposite. A parody of this usage appeared in the Namek arc, with Jeice over-explaining the joke

Been on a character design spree today! 3 new pirates for the first upcoming arc, my brains been going 100mph today with tons of new ideas and concepts. I might scrap the current arc outline and start over with this new stuff in mind we will see.

Out of the trio of Go, Sho and Gai, Sho was the only one who we never quite knew as to what became of her by the time of Arc, so it was a big shock for the anime to feature her (and have her SvN actress, Yu Asakawa, reprise her role).

But even I was thrown off by the brown hair!

Öta : Il tire très bien à l'arc, et adore ça. Il est aussi doué pour raconter des histoires et inventer des personnages pour s'amuser.

After all the pain and suffering Eggman placed on other characters including Sonic himself, in the Metal Virus arc, I can’t really blame you for saying that
