Yes I suggest making a watermark that has your twitter handle or any username easily seen. And whenever you put it on an art piece put it where it overlaps a bit over your art and make the transparency about 55-80%. That way people who edit them out have a hard time.

I don't TEND to ink smoke/steam/clouds. The brush I use in Clip Studio is "India Ink > Light running ink", I just do overlapping swirlies and the Blend tool when I want it to fade out cleanly. It gets some real nice texture and transparency IMO.
