Part of an art trade.
Because I was looking at the cel animated anime ( obv.) for reference of the character, I kind of. Wanted to kinda stay on model/keep the style of the cel style shading.

But they wanted my more usual style.

I've enjoyed them. I enjoy some romance or close friendships in TFs- it's interesting to see these concepts as they pertain to warring robots who live millions of years.
Obv loved On/Off and wish we got more, but hey, we got panels like this!
