Berserker Variants. The claws/blades and armour are not uniformed designs and are different for each host.
So one might have sharp claws, the other might have arm blades.
However all berserkers have orange pupils.

The final illustration for Academy Chrysalis; a close up of the Manakin Leader's face. Mysterious runes are carved into the skull & glowing pupils in otherwise empty eye sockets stare back at you. Those glowing slits seem maybe...friendly.

lots of people have told me they think the black eyes are creepy, but i just like how they look! i used to draw their pupils tinier (ala american cartoons) but i just enjoy drawing the cute big ol eyes more :) heres an Old drawing from when i drew my ponies with tiny pupils:
