Kollwitz created her three most famous posters - Germany’s Children Starving (1924), Bread (1924) & Never Again War (1924) at a time when Germany was collapsing after the Great War. It was a time of crisis & children were the great artist’s concern

I’m getting excited for this weekend. My first time being in Artist’s Alley 💕 If you’re interested in Fire Emblem check out There are tons of amazing artists, panelists, mods, and cosplayers! Here’s some of my art you’ll see there! Commissions are open, too -w-

I’m not a ‘talented artist’ I’m just a person that puts his delusions onto a page when I can’t sleep.

In order to make his figures life like he took care to study the human form. Part of that was to draw himself - including the iconic image of his own foot. This was done after a long day & shows the artist’s compulsion to draw

Here I’d like to just take you on a wander thru this mostly self-taught artist’s drawings & paintings. He is an enormously sympathetic describer of his time. He drew himself too! Here are his hands (1864 & 1848)

Flashback to 10 years ago(!) when I was working on promo art. This was the art direction : “splashy color, rough, energy”
Mid image was my exaggeration of the original sketch. Final rough. They ended up using another artist’s rendition that was more impressionistic.

The artist’s work is great art because of her technical genius, her observation of real life & her ability to share authentic emotion. Julie Manet & her Nurse (1880), The Dining Room of the Rouart Family (1880), The Wet Nurse (1880) & Woman Getting Dressed (c1880)

In the early 1870s Morisot explored the use of watercolours. Watercolour allowed her to complete studies quickly & with chromatic vivacity. Young Woman (1871), On the Balcony (1872), The Artist’s Sister & Niece (1872) & The Cradle (1872)

Gainsborough’s greatest portraits from the 1750s are of his family. Miss Gainsborough Gleaning (1756-9), the Painter’s Daughters (1758) & the Artist’s Wife (c1758) attest to his growing maturity as a portraitist, as well as his love for his family

Delany didn’t start making her ‘mosaicks’ until she was 72, but made nearly 1,000 works in just over a decade.

He had his first exhibit in 1909. Along with Klimt, Schiele was also influenced by Kokoschka. Having integrated their ideas he created his own style. The Artist’s Sister (1908), Gerti Schiele (1909), Male Nude Crouching (1909) & Self-portrait (1909)

His early portraits of his sisters show a brother’s regard & an authentic depiction of his love for them. The Artist’s Sisters Alvilde, Ida & Henriette (1827), A Girl with Basket (c1827) & Interior at St Bendt’s Church at Ringsted (1829)

What do you think of inspired by ? I only used colours from this palette from The Grand Budapest Hotel and tried my best to emulate my favourite artist’s style!
