The game that made me fall in love with JRPGs and was a huge part of the road that led me to develop my own RPG game today

I will say it has some....filler parts that I don't like upon replaying it

Just finished on Netflix and it was really solid - DQV is among my most loved jrpgs and it hit all the right spots! Though I’d reccomend it to anyone who likes DQ or well-animated/choreographed movies in general.

Quality def hits modern Disney levels

Hi, I'm an architecture student that likes drawing anime stuff. I also play JRPGs and fighting games, lots of interests like writing stories and singing. Overall, I try to juggle them in between, although I fail miserably at it :x

Phantasy Star 4 is better than most classic JRPGs and it is criminally underrated. Loved its comic style cutscenes.

Now that the 1st fighter's pass is fully out, i can clearly reaffirm that Hero's reveal was THE ONE that made me massively flip my shit.
DQ8 and DQ11 are by far my favorite JRPGs of all time and i couldn't be happier.
*hookers upset*

they played shadow hearts on giant bomb and watching someone clearly be like "I know how to play jrpgs" and skipping the tutorial for sh (especially from the new world) is very images that precede unfortunate events. but like, low-key, you know

I would’ve done only 1 picture, but my style is all over the place lol.
I’m really inspired by anime and jrpgs and stuff, and I think I use brighter colors(?)
Plus I draw Sonic ocs sometimes

In the beginning I was very inspired by One Piece, Dragon Ball Z and the Hellsing manga especially.

I guess Hellsing elements stuck around for some time, but lately Iv'e been inspired by nintendo and a lot of JRpgs and whatever cute and pastelly things i can find (and jojo)

I finally got some time to sit down and finish Dragon Quest XI S

I can't put into words how important this series is to me, but this game embodied everything I've come to love from Dragon Quest and JRPGs in general.

Play it. 💙

KOS-MOS is from Xenosaga. A trilogy of PS2 JRPGs developed by Monolith Soft, published by Bandai Namco, and serves as a predecessor to Xenoblade. There were also a couple of side games and a side story aside from the main trilogy. The series lasted between the years 2002 to 2006.

Artworks of some of the creatures from the first Parasite Eve, still one of the best horror JRPGs.

15. Persona 5
One of the more recent games for me to have finished on this list - this game is one of my absolute favourite JRPGs. I love personas play style but I love the cast even more. Most games have an okay cast to me - but I genuinely adored pretty much everyone!

Just wanted to remind everyone that Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE Encore for Switch releases in a week! If you enjoy bright, colorful, energetic JRPGs with a helping of Atlus’ classic dark Shin Megami Tensei aesthetic, then I suggest giving this overlooked gem a shot!

Replaying SMT4 and shoutouts to the most underused character in all of JRPGs. She was a total boss and was also only in like three or four scenes total :(
