Here's another portrait. I thought it came out pretty good. I'm happy with the skin despite the struggle. I lost a bit of likeness in the drawing stage so I need to work on that. I included the in between color stage again because I love how it looks lol.

Here's my Stephen Fry alongside the photo on which it was based. Yet, while the lighting and pose of a final drawing are usually based on one reference, I do use many images of a subject to nail the likeness. Hence the preliminary pencil sketches, also included.

The Gandalf piece is going well! I know what you're thinking. "That doesn't look like Ian McKellen." No, it doesn't and for a good reason. I hate doing likenesses. That said I've modelled the costume loosely on the one in the movie.

So, I could finally completed the Drawing of William Wordsworth! I depicted him around late 20s when he started to write his autobiographical poem "The Prelude". I developed his likeness by intensive study of several images of his life mask at aged 45. It was a challenge! 😅
