I know I’ve said this before but my favorite Superman artist might be the great John Buscema, who drew both a great Supes and Clark. Broody but somehow still Superman.

If he’d drawn more, it would have changed how people perceive the character forever.

Finished Superman: The Animated Series last night.

Deserves way more love than it gets. I've heard people say it isn't as good as BTAS, but I think that's false. They're both fantastic in their own ways.

Clearly legally distinct from Superman.

Doesn't matter; DC had the funds to keep suing Fawcett until they got their way.

Also, these days he's called Shazam because DC let the trademark lapse and Marvel (quite reasonably) snapped it up.
