Emilia, Ram and Rem's names all have official Ateji released in merchandise.
Emilia's is: 笑麗愛, using Kanji for "Smile", "Pretty" and "Love".
Ram's is: 来夢, using Kanji for "Next" and "Dream".
Rem's is: 恋夢, using Kanji for "Passion" and "Dream"

"RBD" isn't the only element that was inspired by WTC. Indeed, Rem was partly on Higurashi's Shion.
That's why Ram and her are twins, and also why she was asleep for so long, as that was made to mirror how Shion always stays away from the sunlight.
@inkstainedgwyn I have drawn a few FFXIV characters die to requests and @ToriCarlini trying to get me on the bandwagon with Aymeric cutscenes and trivia 😂 But yes, maybe one day I’ll draw the other characters when I’ve gotten to know them 🥺
