土木学会の前身である「工学会」の創立が1879年11月18日であること、土木の2文字を分解すると「十一」と「十八」になることから制定。
投稿直前になって気づきましたが、1年前にも「土木の日」で投稿してました。
基本的には被らないようにとは思ってるんですが、ミスりました…
