I know I lose most of my 50/50's but giving this a chance! Also your art style is so cute!

Hi all, the first of todays drawing in my new series Mainstream Convertibles 1945-2003 is a real piece of British 50's Americana.

...from the Buson Yokai Emaki, a famous picture scroll from the 1750's. A second fruit-headed monster on the scroll is makuwauri no bakemono, also appearing as a samurai with a Japanese melon for a head. Nothing is known about their behaviour or whether they are dangerous.

I'm having a minor obsession with all things Quatermass at the moment, Nigel Kneale's creation from the 50's.

Still relevant and creepy today as it was 70 odd years ago.

What's your favourite bit of classic sci-fi.

Since I am quite new to twitter, I will be posting some older art that I want to show. Here you go guys, absolutely no one asked but here is a 1950's inspired Catgirl. Enjoy!

tom would want to live in the 1950's
richard/dick (💀) would want to live in the 1970's
harry would want to live in the 1920's

Continuing my birthday countdown, here is my next picture. In it, we see comedian meeting a 1950's housewife & telling her that she's super lucky to be a housewife! Based on a routine from her stand-up special "Baby Cobra". More art to come!
