slight tangent: a consistent problem the IDW comics have run into with trying to write Knuckles is he HAS to be the Master Emerald's guardian, and unlike Archie, he doesn't have this dedicated crew who can guard it for him. So it makes writing Knuckles... pretty limited

Jokes aside, while Archie's lows are really low (looking at you Sonic Super Special Volume 15), to the point of being lower than IDW's, Archie's high points far outweigh its negatives, and its peak arcs and worldbuilding win it out https://t.co/t96p7jt4R5
