@Oliwun I don't particularly have a favourite character from it but I do just love how bengus does art, especially the old art, it has such beautiful flavour.
On the other hand, these were not drawn by the same person. Shinkiro on the left, BENGUS emulating Shinkiro's style on the right. Both drawn for games released in 2000.
Bengus is GOAT. He also did the absurdly perfect character art for Capcom's JoJo fighters! Bengus can imitate the inimitable and even improve on perfection! https://t.co/qnwY5eHDBg
Just found out these pieces were drawn by BENGUS (not Shinkiro), and it's causing me severe psychic damage. https://t.co/cuvjovZpB0
💥 Capcom Vs. SNK promo art by Bengus. #streetfighter #kof #capcom #snk #fgc
@Richmond_Lee @NonTrotski Bengus in the 90s is at full power. It’s my fav work he’s done. I find the styles he used back then had the best level of cohesion & knowing what to highlight in design. His line based shading in this is on another level. I’d have loved an MvC2 graphic novel in this style.
@MildWeebAdre @curator_delarte this! pretty sure Bengus illustrated it haha
Daily Studies 021-023: Italian houses, feta cheese and bengus Ryu #art
Severin must have specifically been referencing Bengus' official art for Super Street Fighter 2, which came out in 1993.
@ItsTampaBacon Nope that is drawn by Bengus. I don't believe Edayan drew any of the SF EX individual character art.
Edayan only drew these two EX illustrations
Bengus
I fell in love with his art style back when I played the alpha series as a kid and have tried to incorporate a bit of this style into my work.
The artists of Capcom(I know one of these us SNK) have been a major influence for me, especially Bengus, Kinu, Shinkiro, and Daigo Ikeno
For me, Alpha 2 was not just about the greatness of its competitive experience, but I'm a huge fan of the Capcom artists at the time, specifically Bengus. Their art speaks to me to this day and was a huge inspiration to my approach to shape language.
