100 Years of the Oriental Ceramics Society, a wonderful exhibition. Superb objects as well as fascinating information about the members of the society, past and present. Originally most curators of Oriental art in the UK were men, I suspect women outnumber men now.

"Any Old Fairy Tale," Arthur Wilde Parsons, 1919.

Sulis curators write that Parsons was born in the incredibly named town of Fishponds and mostly painted maritime images. But he painted so many damn things that some weird ones also slipped in.

2. Exhibition of this"Mona Lisa"copy at the Prado, Madrid,Curators attributed this to one of his Pupils, Salai or Melzi.They obviously have little knowledge of either. It's nothing like Salai or work attributed to Melzi. Its face is flawed & expression strange as is its palette🧑‍🎨
