I also vividly remember Annihilus, a villain from the Negative Zone who captivated me from how truly alien he seemed, even compared to Marvel's not-infrequent literal extraterrestrials. He was like a grasshopper gargoyle made of silicon, I wasn't sure if he was a robot or flesh.

The designs of these bugs are so good. The grasshoppers non-monocled eye being black. How the dark gap between each pair of spider eyes make each look like a single eye. The worms expressive shades...Reminds me of the Stinky Cheese Man art -oh because it's Lane Smith.
