I think one of the reasons I’ve avoided the Fantastic Four for so long is because after finishing the Hickman run I just wasn’t sure how any other could compare…and after 2 back-to-back world class issues I’m very happy to say that I’m already enamored with the Waid run ❤️
The wildly uneven sophomore collection of the post-HoxPoX "flagship"! Crucibles, King Eggs, and Cash-ins!

One thing about Hickman, he kept Monet in every big event in the Krakoan era. Even if it was just a few lines. Imma miss that… can’t lie. 😭
65. This ruled. I'm sad to be losing this Hickman wildness but there should be enough on the table for other writers to keep running with.
Inferno (2021) #2
Mystique uses all her resourcefulness to get Destiny on the Quiet Council of Krakoa. Writer Jonathan Hickman, Artist Stefano Caselli, Colorist David Curiel: Hickman’s strength of plot is here, but with Caselli, pulls off strong character development too. 4.5/5
Illyana as written by Johnathan Hickman is a delight #newmutants #xmen #comics #marvelcomics
At least that’s Hickman’s take on these two characters. We still got several “Erik no” moments in the Krakoa era. Nothing surprising about writers interpreting character dynamics differently. Though I feel like sometimes it works - other times it gets kinda jarring
(Re)Read Hickman’s X-Men: X-Men #8-11 & Empyre: X-Men #1-4 https://t.co/MQP2RgQUfj
The Dragons of War. Edited by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman. With work by :- Michael Williams, Mark Anthony, Adam Lesh, Chris Pierson, Linda P. Baker, Janet Pack, Kevin T. Stein, Teri McLaren, J. Robert King, Jeff Grubb, Nick O'Donohoe, Don Perrin, Roger E. Moore & Douglas Niles.
One of these days, I need to re-read Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers all the way through Secret Wars (2015). Maybe not soon since it’s like…80 issues worth of content, but I really enjoyed it when it first came out and want to re-experience it.
A small but fearless Valeria Richards stands very unimpressed before Venom, who has just showed up unannounced with their boss, Norman Osborn.

Kinda hilarious that a Marvel Zombies series used so many POX Hickmanisms (Phalanx, Nimrod, technological ascension, the human/machine synthesis and conflict) before the DOX titles in 2020 actually did
