Honestly Judai may have been the protagonist but no one summarizes YuGiOh GX like Manjoume Jun (or Chazz)

He starts off as a typical jerk upper class rival with a standard dark edgy deck, but by the end of the series his ace monster is discount SpongeBob Squarepants
