Almost a cause for celebration: Svalbard sea ice today is only at 2nd lowest level on record (no longer at a record low). Unfortunately for there's no ice near land so options for hunting will be minimal. As bear habitat, both ice cover & distribution matter.

Lowest area for this date at since 1967 (start of records). Ice covers 172,832 sq km & is 163,465 sq km below the 1981-2010 average. No ice reaching Svalbard means pregnant can't reach the main denning areas on land. Bodes poorly for bears there.

I have feelings about that video. From my understanding, live most of the time on the sea ice (fatty seal meals included). Yes, they come on land, but the ice's their main home. Please help protect their homes.
