Jacob Lawrence (1917-2000) A Black American Painter who was heavily inspired by the Harlem Renaissance. He often depicted the black residents of Harlem using his incredible sense of design, a style he refered to as “Dynamic Cubism.”
Miguel Covarrubias (1904-1957) was a Mexican illustrator who at the age of 19, moved to New York. It did not take long before he quickly caught the eye of the New York art scene, and eventually the friendship of many of the prominent figures of the Harlem Renaissance.

Moroni's chief specialty was portraiture—unusual during the Renaissance.
For me, it is Moroni's religious works which are truly fine.
