Han Jia marries her childhood friend because of societal pressure. They try to rekindle the feelings they had for each other. There are misunderstandings but it gets resolved as they slowly learn to communicate. Also relatable marriage issues haha.

Basically, we see it be "there" for an entire patch or at least to the point of the story is resolved related to it. I kinda like how Fortnite has done it and it would be awesome to see Hoyoverse explore this kind of idea :D

My take on Hideaki Anno’s period of depression that lead to Eva is that it was a perfect psychological storm just as its end product is of thematic influences. IMO it was a mix of unrequited love, unresolved childhood trauma, the failure of a pet project and personal shame.
